what{s up gang. we´ll see if this blog works because everything on this website is now in spanish dangit. so i arrived in lima last night around 12:30 and sure enough my taxi driver had left, but i hitched a ride with the lady i sat next to on the plane. the hostal was chained shut and completely dark but this little guy came down and let me in after five minutes of knocking. he showed me to my spacious room and i read for a while and slept atop the sheets in my undies. this morning i took a shower and decided i´d rather see miraflores then go straight to the bus stop, so i got a cab and now i´m at flying dog hostel. i can´t be on the computer for too long, so i just thought i´d drop you guys a line. i´m safe and happy, about to make some friends and get some breakfast. i´ll post again as soon as i can. peace and love,
Owen

hey O,
cool blog spot, I'm likin it. But can you put pictures on here or is that somewhere else? I hope you've been taking some cool pictures. Glad to hear everything has worked out thus far. A couple of things going wrong wouldn't hurt though, just to make things interesting. I think your probably one of the only people who would say, going to a third world country where you don't speak a word of the language and are by yourself, could possible bore you. I think this trip will do as much for your restless side as it will for your introverted side. If you know what i mean. all is well over here, much of the same. I'm excited to hear about what "aya cucho" is like. hope you have internet access!
love, mina
hi owen!

Yo my brotha!!!! Sounds like you are in a good place. keep us posted. much love.
Hi Owen,
Glad the first part of your trip was successful! I'm sure you'll have many interesting insights to share with us along the way. Can't wait to see photos. How's the weather there? Watch out for rampaging alpacas. Tim is currently fishing off the coast of Panama, living on a boat for a week, going after giant tunas and stuff like that. Strange to have two family members in that part of the world at the same time...must mean something. Have fun, be safe, and don't carry mysterious packages for anyone!
Love,
Amy
